THIS IS US: a community banner project

What Is It? : 

+ A community based collaborative textile project happening in Candelo that is all about exploring and celebrating what connects us to each other and what matters to us as a community

How:

+ Through a combination of facilitated (free) workshops, public community art making (like the felted banner at the Candelo Village Festival!) and ongoing artist-volunteer working bees we are designing, collaborating, creating and assembling a whole diverse collection of textile banners together

+ the project is supported by CAS; facilitated by Rae Kennedy; funded by Mumbulla Community Foundation, Bega Valley Shire Council Community Grants Program, Global Giving and the Australian Government; and, most importantly, bursting with the ideas and creativity of YOU and our community

When:

+ the project launched in March 2023 and has been quietly growing legs and taking flight! The project will wrap up by the end of September 2023.
